Contemporary culture
Anyone who says that Mallorca is only a sun and beach destination is quite wrong. It is not just that numerous and renowned artists have stayed on the island – from Frédéric Chopin and George Sand to Joan Miró, via Santiago Rusiñol – but the island has seen the growth of renowned contemporary artists such as Miquel Barceló and Toni Catany.
Unknown to the general public, but just ten minutes from Son Esteve, there is the Andratx Center for Contemporary Art, a museum and artist residence sponsored by the Danish Asbaek family. We encourage you to enjoy this interesting visit, which can be done from Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
